I love science. Fortunate isn't a strong enough word to describe how I feel about the teachers and role models that I have had in my life that have enriched this love (and many others). When I was growing up my grandpa worked for Motorola as an electrical engineer. I remember taking a field trip to see him (and build circuits) with my second grade class. He still keeps a workshop in his basement with a well-maintained supply of instruments to create devices to do anything. My mom owned a pre-school that had brilliant curriculum and ran an annual science camp that allowed us to explore and experiment all summer long. I was an early maker (as evidenced above) - often building, creating and experimenting. This weekend I am looking forward to some time with some of my favorite makers; arranging flowers, hanging art and attempting impossible yoga poses.

Happy weekend, all.
